Why I want to work in Japan

Japan is a place I would like to live, and learn about the daily life of the people. It is a mild, peaceful, and artistic center that supplies so much virtuous knowledge. I want to be able to speak fluently in Japanese and discover many interesting connections through language.

I have visited Japan twice and felt only a flash of the whole. I am curious about the art, cuisine, sports, and pastimes, of Japan. I enjoyed museums showing artwork from the University of Tokyo. I shopped in the fashionable designer clothing stores, ate at fresh sushi restaurants and noodle shops, stayed at traditional ryokans, and bathed in the hot springs near Hakone. My bookcase has poems from Zen monks, Japanese art books and films. I have Japanese friends in Japan who have lived in the U.S. and look forward to meeting new friends.

Traveling and becoming comfortable in new cultures is a challenge I am excited about. I have the flexibility to live and work for an extended stay.
